What do the annual dues provide?

The annual dues provide members and affiliates with full access to CREN services for the July 1 - June 30 CREN fiscal year.

The number of each type of certificate provided with membership is outlined in the following table:

CREN Membership dues also provide members and affiliates with a number of free copies of the ListProc software (additional copies are always available for a minimal charge).

The number of free copies of the ListProc software your institution receives is determined by the amount of CREN annual dues it pays, as listed in the following table:

Copies of ListProc 8.2.09 are issued only on request because specific information from members is required for its release (e.g., your operating system, the name of your technical contact, etc.).

Your dues also help to support the CREN TechTalk series. These bimonthly webcasts feature experts in higher education IT in a lively interview and live question and answer format with live interaction via email with the audience. An extensive archive going back over five years. Membership in CREN provides access to the entire archive site including the .mp3 versions of the TechTalks.

CREN Membership also includes a subscription to CREN's Strategic FAQ series as they are released and other special privileges, such as early registration for special seminars.

When are members billed?

CREN dues and any applicable fees are billed upon approval for Membership or Affiliation and they must be paid before services are initiated. Can dues be prorated?

Because CREN's services include perpetual licenses to software for its members, they are not prorated for members joining after the beginning of the fiscal year. However, dues can be prorated on a quarterly basis for members joining after the first six months of the fiscal year provided that they simultaneously pay the full amount of the annual dues for the following year.
