Technical Notes:
These Virtual Seminars were originally designed to run with Netscape 3.01 and RealVideo plugin 4.0.1. Limited testing indicates that you can use Netscape Communicator 4.0 with the material here, although it does not work with the CDs. We have received multiple reports that the first Beta releases of RealVideo 5.0 for the Mac do not work with this material. The process of implementing the Internet-accessible version of the Virtual Seminars is still underway, and hence some performance issues are still being resolved. We would appreciate knowing what your experience is with running these demos, good and bad. Please send email to gmarks@merit.edu and indicate which demo you ran, your network connection, and what kind of computer you are using. We hope you find this an innovative and exciting application of the Internet and can imagine many other uses for it. |
