To help determine the best approach to building systems today to meet the demands of the future, is Guy Jones, the Director of Technology at George Washington University. These questions of reliability, cost effectiveness, flexibility and expandability are the realities of his day-to-day work, as he is currently responsible for the installation of a state-of-the-art fiber-to-the-desktop ATM-based campus network at the University. He has a master's degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California as well as extensive experience in transitioning from shared backbone to collapsed backbone switched networks. |
