What is the recommended computer system to run the CREN Virtual Seminars?
For best results under Windows 95, a 150 Mhz Pentium or higher is recommended. For Macintosh, use PowerPC systems with either the 603 or 604 processors running at least 150 Mhz and system 7.5.3 or higher. See the FAQ entry below for use on slower systems Operating systems other than Windows 95 and MacOS 7.5 are not supported. Netscape should have at least 16 Megs of RAM, more if possible. This program requires Netscape version 3. It is not compatible with Internet Explorer or other browsers. Multimedia capability is required, including SoundBlaster compatible sound on Win95, or Sound Manager 3 on MacOS. External speakers are recommended. How can this Virtual Seminar be viewed on a slower system? What software do I need to run this application? How do I get louder audio playback? How do I navigate in a presentation? Is there a full-text transcript of each presentation? How can I access specific information in a seminar? How can I take notes within this program? What video compression schemes were used for optimum, low data rate play back? |
